A downtown favourite at 319 Main St with pizza by the slice, daily specials and a wall of gleefully named whole pies — the Garuda, Stay Gold Ponyboy, Noah's Ark, the Four Cheeses of the Apocalypse. Pablo's own site publishes all four pages of that menu with full topping lists and not one price; its ordering runs through Toast, which serves us a bot wall. Cruise Control Kitchen & Cellar
Chicago Dogs & Italian Beefs — prices unconfirmed
The Colorado Avenue spot this page used to call a hot-dog-and-soup counter has grown up: it now trades as Cruise Control Kitchen & Cellar, Grand Junction's fast-casual wine bar, and the menu leads with Chicago Italian beefs — the Guanella with giardiniera, the French Pass Dip, a 21-inch Da Big Beef that feeds four to six. The Chicago dogs are still there (the Windy, the Ophir with hatch green chile and beer cheese), all served with Green Light chips. What is not there is a price: the owner site prints the whole menu with none, and the Toast ordering page is walled. The old “$6 soups, everything under $12” line on this card predates the rebrand. Bravo Pizza
$5 “Monster Slices” by CMU — price unconfirmed
A cheap-and-cheerful shop by the Colorado Mesa University campus known for its “monster slices” — cut from a 30-inch pie — plus gyro wraps, falafel pitas, Philly cheesesteaks and subs, with dough made daily and sauce from fresh-packed tomatoes. Correction to what this card used to say: Bravo does run an ordering site of its own, on Zenfoody, so there is an owner source — we simply cannot read it, because the menu renders entirely in the browser. The $5 monster slice therefore still traces back to listing sites rather than to Bravo, which is exactly where a marked-up price hides. 4.4 stars across 674 reviews. Note the spelling: it trades as The Garden of Eat’n, which this card had wrong. It is open and well reviewed, but it publishes nothing itself — no site, no ordering page, no posted menu — so the price of a salad here is unverifiable from anything the owner controls. 7th St. Community Café

The 7th St. Community Café is the Community Food Bank's own restaurant, a skills-building social enterprise that opened in July 2025 at 2232 N 7th Street, where every dollar of sales goes back into the food bank's mission. It serves sandwiches, salads, soups, grab-and-go and house-made specialties, Tuesday to Saturday, 7am–2:30pm. Its menu is published as a downloadable PDF we cannot read as text and its ordering runs on Toast, so the “mostly under $12” claim is unsourced. Great Harvest Bread Co.

The only bakery in town milling its own wheat fresh every day, out by the Highway 6 & 50 shops — sandwiches, soups, salads and grain bowls all built on bread baked that morning. The store's own page confirms the address and the hours (Mon–Fri 7am–6pm, Saturday to 5pm, closed Sunday), which this card did not carry, and hands its menu off to a franchise ordering app that renders entirely in the browser — so no sandwich price can be read from it here. Las Marias
Authentic Mexican & Tamales — prices unconfirmed
A downtown family kitchen at 118 S 7th St — tamales, carnitas and all-day breakfast from 7am, closed Mondays — that regulars have kept quiet about for years. It does have a domain, and that is the catch: it has two, and neither is a menu. lasmariasco.com serves a FromTheRestaurant “online ordering setup in progress” placeholder, with no menu and no prices on it at all, and lasmariasmexican.com is a parked domain that bounces straight to a lander. So this card ships without a site link rather than sending you to an empty page. To check: lasmariasco.com once it goes live, or the menu in the room.
La Pupuseria
Handmade Pupusas — Saturdays only
A Salvadoran-and-Mexican food truck turning out handmade, gluten-free pupusas, steak and chicken tacos, California-style and smothered burritos, with fried yucca and plantains in season. The schedule is the correction here, and it comes straight from the truck's own site: La Pupuseria is now Saturdays only, 11am–4pm, parked outside Colorado Craft Coffee & Beer at 12th and North — not the roaming any-day operation this card implied. The one Grand Junction spot on this page whose prices we could read off a menu the shop itself publishes — a bagel bakery and deli on Horizon Drive, 4.4 stars across 436 Google reviews, open at 6am on weekdays, which makes it the earliest breakfast in this guide. The Morning Classic and the Just Veggies! omelet sandwich are $6.99 each, so two eat for $13.98; the rest of the breakfast board (BLT, American Sunrise, Northern Omelet, Breakfast Ranchero) runs $7.29–7.49, two for about $15. At lunch the gourmet sandwiches — turkey, grilled chicken, ham and cheddar, tuna salad, Mediterranean veg-out — are all $7.99, two for $15.98, and the bigger specialty subs $8.49. Cheapest of all: a bagel with cream cheese is $4.49, so two breakfast for $8.98. Jumbo muffins are $2.99. 16" Build-Your-Own Pizza $18.99 — Split Two Ways
A North Avenue brewhouse and country bar that turns out proper pizza, and — rare for this page — publishes every price on its own site. The crust is made in-house daily and rises 48 hours before it is stretched to order. The play for two is one 16-inch build-your-own at $18.99, which is $9.50 a head, or the 16-inch White Pie at $19.99, on the line before tax. Two 10-inch pies is the trap — at $10.99–12.99 each they add up to $21.98–25.98 — so if you want your own, pair a 10" build-your-own ($10.99) with garlic knots ($7.99) for $18.98. The cheapest sit-down meal here is the salad bar at $4.99 a head, $9.98 for two. Also under the line: a 10" White Pie ($11.99) plus a salad bar, $16.98. Kitchen open Wednesday and Sunday 11am–9pm and Thursday–Saturday 11am–2am; closed Monday and Tuesday. The bar turns 21+ after 7pm on the late nights.

A South 7th Street diner built around schnitzel-battered fried pork tenderloin, and most of the board is a splurge — plates run $14–22 and the smothered tenderloin is $18 on its own. Two builds clear the line anyway, and both are on the restaurant's own menu. The Lil' Chuckie is $9.00 — ham, bacon or sausage with egg and cheese on brioche — so two eat for $18.00. Or work the à la carte column, where two eggs are $5, hashbrowns $4, breakfast potatoes $4, a pancake $5, biscuits and gravy $5 and toast $3: eggs and hashbrowns is $9 a head, again $18 for two. Æbleskiver, Danish pancake balls with syrup and seasonal jam, are $10, which puts two on the line at $20 before tax. Worth timing a visit around the lunch specials, 11am–3pm with a side included — Made-Rite Monday, Corn Dog Tuesday and the kimchi-and-wasabi-mayo Wildkat Wednesday, published on a dated calendar the kitchen keeps current. Two 6-inch minis with cheese run $15.98. Worth knowing before you go: your first purchase as a MOD Rewards member earns a free MOD-size pizza or salad, which makes round one genuinely two for the price of one. Drinks still fit: two 16 oz fountains add $5.98 and the loaded 11-inch with both lands at $17.97.
