Best Cheap Eats in Billings
Two People, Under $20

🦬 Billings  ·  12 verified deals  ·  Updated August 2026

Billings is Montana's biggest city — the "Magic City," tucked under sandstone rimrocks on the Yellowstone River and ringed by ranch country — and it eats like the West. The signatures are Montana through and through: bison and elk burgers, anything huckleberry (burgers, shakes, jam), trout, and a downtown brewery-and-cider walk you can do on foot. The bar is set by a burger joint whose huckleberry-and-green-chile creation won a national championship, but you'll also find a diner in a historic hotel, real-deal taquerias, a Mediterranean street-food counter and Montana-sized breakfasts. Almost all of it is cheap and generous. We've linked official menus where we could confirm them; most are best found on the map.

⚠ Verification in progress — we’re re-confirming these prices against each restaurant’s own menu. Check back soon.

We re-audited this page in August 2026 against each restaurant's own menu. Cards marked ✓ VERIFIED had their price read off an owner source (the restaurant's own site or its own ordering page). Cards marked ⚠ PRICE CHECK PENDING are places we believe belong here but whose owner menu posts no prices or was unreachable — the figures are our best read, so call before you count on them.

💡 Pro tip: All deals are community-verified. We linked official menus only where we could confirm them, so most spots here are map-only. Most of downtown is walkable — do the brewery-and-cider stops on foot. At the steakhouse and tapas spots, lunch or shared plates keep two under $20, and don't skip anything huckleberry. Hours and prices change, so check before a special trip. If something's expired, flag it on our main directory so we can update it.

Fuddruckers

Split a 1 lb Burger — $18.99, No Sales Tax (Feeds Two)

The Texas-born build-your-own-burger chain keeps Billings' Overland Ave store on a fresh July 2026 menu. The play for two is the 1 lb World's Greatest Burger — a full pound off the produce bar, split in half — $18.99, and because Montana charges no sales tax, that $18.99 is the actual out-the-door check for two, not a pre-tax teaser. Prefer your own plates? The Big Hot Dog is $6.99 (two = $13.98), a veggie burger $8.99 (two = $17.98), and a grilled chicken sandwich $9.99. The loaded specialty burgers (Swiss Melt, The Works, Inferno, Tex Mex, Hangover, BBQ) run $12.99–$14.99 but only up to a ½ lb, so the plain pound is the one to share. Prices read off the store's own July 2026 menu; closed Sundays.

Jet's Pizza

$5 Off Any Specialty Pizza Online — Medium All Meaty $17.87

The Detroit-style original — Sterling Heights, Michigan, 1978, the chain that made the buttery, caramel-crusted square a national thing — lands its only Montana store on Shiloh Rd in Billings. The play is the $5 Off Any Specialty Pizzas deal built into the chain's online ordering menu: a medium All Meaty (pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage, bacon, hamburger) listed at $22.87 on our August 2026 read at the chain's Denver store and rang up $17.87 with the deal applied — under the line with room for tax, and a medium is eight big slices, plenty for two. It's a deals-menu item so it can rotate out — and if it does, texting your order to your store takes 15% off menu-priced pizza. Prices vary by store, so run the math at yours before checkout.
