A tiny hole-in-the-wall on Washington Blvd that regulars (and picky Mexican husbands) crown the best burrito in Utah — gigantic breakfast burritos on homemade tortillas, killer salsa verde, get it Christmas-style for both chile verde and colorado. Portions are huge and shareable, so two eat for around $20. Small space, worth the wait. Closed Mon–Tue.
Taqueria El Paraiso
Best Tacos in Ogden · Wed 2-for-$1.50
A no-frills Wall Ave taqueria locals call the best tacos in Ogden — flavorful al pastor, carne asada, carnitas and a loaded torta marrana, with a full salsa bar (order inside, they cook at the stand). A 4.8-star family-run gem (and little market) out in West Haven with fresh, wallet-friendly Mexican — carne asada burritos, an excellent quesabirria combo, vegetarian options, and what regulars swear is the best horchata around (not watery, perfectly sweet). The 25th Street pizza institution (3,000-plus reviews) plenty of locals call the best pizza in Utah — thin, crispy New-York-style slices and seasonal pies, served late till 2am on Friday and Saturday. A beloved vintage Ogden diner doing all-day breakfast, ginormous one-pound burgers, scones, and even Mexican plates and dinners. The move is the cheapie menu — two eggs, hash browns and toast (swap in a scone for $2) — so two eat for well under $20, and portions are big enough to take half home. A local O-town favorite. A genuine Ogden institution on Wall Ave (older than Google, packed with regulars) — classic skillets, omelets, and the Utah scone with honey butter. Kitty's Family Dumpling
Handmade Chinese Dumplings
A little counter in the Ocean Mart food court turning out authentic, handmade Chinese dumplings — pork potstickers, beef dumplings, xiaolongbao, Hunan rice noodles and hot-and-sour soup — at reasonable prices, with owner Kitty's homemade chili sauce on the side. Two share a spread of dumplings and noodles for around $20. Open daily.
Taqueria La Tapatia
6 Street Tacos — $15 for Two
A no-frills downtown taqueria on Grant Ave whose own site posts a fully legible menu — every street taco is $2.50, so six feed two for $15.00 (or a $10 asada torta plus two tacos, also $15). Burritos, quesadillas and tortas all run $10.
Two-Bit Street Cafe
French Dip + Fries + Soup — $18
A locally-owned bistro at the corner of Historic 25th & Washington. Its own PDF menu lists a prime-rib French dip with fries at $13 and a cup of tomato-basil soup at $5, so two share a full meal for $18; grilled cheese ($10) plus a $7 garden salad is $17.
El Don Pupuseria
3 Pupusas + Soda Combo — $14.81
A Salvadoran spot on Washington Blvd whose own site posts an owner-read combo — three thick pupusas plus a canned soda for $14.81, a real shared meal for two under $20 (single pupusa $6.87). Lighter eaters can add à-la-carte pupusas and still clear $20.

Prices from our same-day read at the chain's Dallas store: the Big Zax Snak Meal (chicken fingerz, crinkle fries, Texas toast, Zax sauce and a drink) was $9.99 — two meals right at twenty — and 2 Nibblerz (chicken sliders) $5.29 an order, two orders feeding two for about $11. Prices vary by store, so confirm on yours in the app.
