Cheng's Gourmet
Chow Mein & Chop Suey Entrées $8.50–$10 — Two for $17–$20
Xenia's Chinese standby on West 2nd, where the chow mein and chop suey board is the value center: Vegetable $8.50, Chicken or Roast Pork $9, and Beef, Shrimp or House Special $10 on their own online ordering page. Two entrées run $17–$20 — order at the vegetable-and-chicken end of the board and there's room left for an egg roll. One heads-up: the delivery apps garble the name as “Chen's Gourmet” or “Chen's Kitchen” — same kitchen, same wok. Order direct and skip the confusion.

5 Points Cafe
Two Breakfasts $11–$16 — Half-Pound Burgers $9.99
The widest value range on this page, from a five-corners diner that does mornings and burgers with equal conviction. On the diner's DoorDash menu — the prices are set by the restaurant; there's no owner site — two French toasts or pancakes are $5.59, the scrambled egg and cheese sandwich is $5.99, and biscuits with sausage gravy run $7.99, so two breakfasts land anywhere from $11 to $16. At lunch every half-pound burger — Western, Mushroom, Italiano, Chili — is $9.99, and two of those still sneak in at $19.98. Hours are diner-honest: roughly 8am to 2pm, closed Monday.

Kava Haus
Breakfast Sammies $7–$8.50 — Two for $14–$17
The locally owned coffee shop on East Main, pouring locally roasted Fertile Ground beans and stacking breakfast sammies on homemade bread. The board on their own Toast ordering page runs $7 for the classic Breakfast Sammie up to $8.50 for the Three Little Piggies, with the BELT, The Mosh and The Garden at $8 — two sammies put you at $14–$17 before coffee. Skip the lunchtime pizza-and-calzone side of the menu if you're holding the line: at $10 a base before add-ons, two of those overshoot. The sammies are the card. Open 6:30am–3pm, closed Sunday.

Los Mariachis
Mexican-Style Pastas, All $9 — Two for $18
The cheapest thing at Xenia's Mexican sit-down is, of all things, penne — and it's the best value trick in town. The Mexican-style pasta list on their own Toast ordering menu runs six deep — Pasta Mariachi, Pasta Loco, Pasta Camaron, Pasta Alambre, Pasta Tapatio, Pasta Hawaiano — and every one is $9, so two people eat hot skillet pasta with fajita-grade toppings for $18 flat. A small Ohio family group rebuilt this place after a fire and has held the corner of North Detroit for 15-plus years. Open daily until 10pm or later, which makes it the late seat on this list.

The Dairy Station
Dogs & BBQ $4–$6 — Two Eat for Under $10
The cheapest card on the page, from the hometown drive-in where the ice cream window hides a real little food menu. Off the owner's posted “Food & Stuff” board: Angus hot dog $4, Angus chili dog $5, West Virginia slaw dog $6, BBQ pulled pork sandwich $5, walking chili taco $4, with coleslaw at $2 and chips $1.50. Two people can genuinely eat for under $10 — which leaves the other half of the twenty for what the Dairy Station is actually famous for. Dinner and dessert, one parking lot.

Don Patron Mexican Grill
À la Carte Tacos & Enchiladas — Two Around $14–$16
The value here lives on one specific column of the menu, so order like you know: à la carte. Off the owner-supplied menu, a beef soft taco is $2.99, street tacos are $3.99, a chicken enchilada is $3.49, three tacos run $7.99 and the two-burrito plate is $9.99 — mix and match and two people land around $14–$16. The combination platters are the trap door: they price higher and don't clear our bar, so stay on the à la carte side. Out in the Hospitality Drive cluster by US-35.

One Bistro
Pay-What-You-Can — Burgers & Sandwiches, Suggested $7–$10
The most unusual card in this directory: a nonprofit, volunteer-run community café where every price is a suggestion and two people can always eat under $20. The suggested menu on onebistro.org: Classic Burger $7, half a Reuben or a BLT $7, full Reuben or Bistro Club $10, salads $7–$10, sides $3. Pay full price, pay less and give some time, or pay it forward for a neighbor — and they don't accept tips. Mind the clock, because the hours are the catch: Wed–Fri 11am–2pm, Sat 8am–2pm, plus a Wednesday community meal 5–7pm. Closed Sun–Tue.

Waydo's Sand Bar
Evening Pizza — No Posted Prices, Call Ahead
The worth-a-shot evening option, two doors from 5 Points Cafe: a Cincinnati Avenue bar that does pizza and stays family-friendly until 9pm. Nobody — including us — can point to owner-posted prices online, so this card carries no numbers and no verified check; it's here because a couple looking for an after-dark option near downtown should know it exists. Doors open at 6:30pm, closed Sunday and Monday. Call (937) 352-6222 before you build the night around it — and if you're standing at the menu board, snap a photo and hit Submit a Menu above.
📍 Xenia, OH (109 Cincinnati Ave) · ⏳ Opens 6:30pm · closed Sun–Mon
💡 Pro tip: All deals are community-verified but prices and availability change. Always check the restaurant's website or app before making a special trip — and if something's expired, flag it on our main directory so we can update it.
📍 Regional Chains
Xenia’s chain bench is deeper than most towns twice its size — these four regional names anchor the under-$20 end of it, and all four have real Xenia addresses.

Victor's Taco Shop
Burritos $7.50–$9.99 — Two Burritos Around $16
Fresh, made-to-order Mexican at the west end of Main Street — the Xenia outpost of a small Ohio family of taco shops (Fairborn, Huber Heights and Zanesville run sister stores), which is why it lives on this side of the page. The burrito board still settles dinner fast: regular burritos run $7.50–$9.99 on the shop's own ordering site, and the $7.99 breakfast burritos are served all day — no clock to beat. Two burritos land around $16, and the portions are the generous, foil-wrapped kind that don't need a side. The all-day breakfast burrito is the sleeper order: eggs, meat and salsa at 7pm for under $8 apiece.

Acapulco
Lunch Combos $8.99–$9.99, Daily 11–3 — Two Under $20
The Mexican sit-down anchor of Xenia Towne Square, part of a seven-location Indiana–Ohio–Kentucky restaurant family. The lunch-combo list on their own online ordering menu runs $8.99–$9.99 — the Speedy Gonzalez, burrito combos, enchilada combos, two-taco plates, quesadilla combos — and it's served 11am to 3pm all seven days, not just weekdays. Two lunch combos land at $18–$20; the dinner menu makes the math harder, so aim for the window.

Tudor's Biscuit World
WV Biscuit Icon — Single-Digit Biscuit Sandwiches
West Virginia's beloved biscuit chain holds down West 2nd Street with made-to-order biscuit sandwiches that all sit in single digits on the store's own Toast ordering page — two people with coffee clear the bar with room for a side of home fries. If you've never had the hillbilly-biscuit canon — the Ron, the Mary B, the Peppi — this is the closest place to Dayton to fix that. Biscuits move fast on weekend mornings; go early.

Roosters
Half-Order Fingers $5.99 · 9-Inch Pizzas $7.99–$9.99
The Ohio wing chain's Xenia outpost prices its non-wing menu like a dare, verified on their own Toast ordering page: half-order chicken fingers — Cajun, fried, grilled or marinated — are $5.99, so two orders run $11.98, with full orders at $9.99. The 9-inch pizza list starts at $7.99 for cheese or build-your-own and tops out at $9.99 for BBQ Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Nashville Hot Chicken or Meat Lover's — two specialty pies land at $18–$20, or pair a half-order of fingers with a pizza and keep change for a drink.

Bob Evans
Breakfast for Two Under $20

Cassano's Pizza King

Donatos Pizza
Pizza to Share
Founded in Columbus in 1963, Donatos is Ohio's own — famous for thin-crust, edge-to-edge pepperoni pies. Share a pizza and two eat for under $20.

🥪 The Sub Shop Gap — Menu Photos Wanted
Super Subby’s (513 W 2nd St) is the one that got away: a real local sub shop with a real local following, and not a single owner-controlled price anywhere online. Same verification rule as every city on this site — no owner-posted numbers, no card. If you’re in line there (or at Waydo’s menu board after 6:30), snap a photo and hit the Submit a Menu button above — one picture moves a legend onto the verified list.
📋 Check the Date on That List
Two West 2nd Street listings still show as open all over the internet — and both are closed. Xenia China Inn (417 W 2nd St) is marked closed on Yelp, yet the town’s own shopping directory still advertises its “daily lunch specials from $5.75.” Cousin Vinny’s Pizza (525 W 2nd St) shut its Xenia location — the chain pulled back to the Dayton metro — but Yelp, Tripadvisor, DoorDash and order.online all still show it open, menus and prices live, down to a $16.79 14-inch cheese. That’s two stale “open” listings on one small-town street, and it’s exactly the gap this site’s verification standard exists to close. Trust the restaurant’s own menu, or a page with a date on it. This one was checked in July 2026.
💸 Who Priced Out — the Honest List
Nick’s Restaurant (1443 N Detroit St) is a town institution and it hurts to leave it off — but only a bare 14-inch cheese pizza at $14.95 fits the theme; every specialty 14-inch is $20.95 and entrées start at $13, so it’s beloved, and priced just above our $20-for-two line. Butterbee’s American Grille only works if two people split one appetizer, which isn’t a meal. And the sit-down tier — Buck & Ear, Troni Brothers, Upper Echelon Restaurant & Winery, Nara Thai, Taku Japanese Steakhouse, Jasper Kitchen + Bar — is where you take the money you saved everywhere else on this page.
🚴 Pair It With the Rest of the Miami Valley
Xenia sits fifteen miles east of Dayton, where the value scene runs to diners, Dayton-style square-cut pizza and taco trucks — and the Little Miami Scenic Trail connects Xenia toward Cincinnati’s chili parlors and $10 lunch counters if you’re doing the full ride. Columbus anchors the other end of the state, and college-town Athens rounds out Ohio’s southeast. Every page runs on the same rule as this one: two people, under $20, verified against the restaurant’s own menu.
